BECOME A MEMBER

In order to be a member of TCEC you must also be a member of the Council for Exceptional Children. When you join CEC and specify Texas as your Unit you are automatically added to the Texas Membership list. In addition to the benefits provided by CEC, members of TCEC receive many professional development activities, discounts for the annual State Conference, a quarterly newsletter, updates on special news and legal/policy developments and opportunities for professional networking.

The Council for Exceptional Children advocates for appropriate governmental policies, sets professional standards, provides continual professional development, advocates for newly and historically underserved individuals with exceptionalities, and helps professionals obtain conditions and resources necessary for effective professional practice. CEC members receive the following service:
